What is NAATI translation? Why do I need it?

NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) is the national standards and accreditation body for translators and interpreters in Australia.

You will need a NAATI-accredited or certified translator to translate your personal documents which have been issued in a foreign country for submission to an Australian Government department. The most common cases include translating foreign driver’s licences, academic transcripts, etc.

Where to find FREE NAATI translation?

The Department of Home Affairs provides free translation services to eligible individuals. Permanent residents and select temporary or provisional visa holders are able to have up to 10 eligible documents translated within the first two years of the visa grant date.
